Australian Curriculum
Learning Areas
At The Sycamore School, we plan, teach, assess, and report using the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0 in an A/B cycle. This approach ensures comprehensive coverage of content and skills across each year-level band.
The Prep to Year 10 Australian Curriculum identifies and organises the essential knowledge, understandings, and skills that students should learn in eight learning areas. The learning areas of English, Mathematics, Science, and Health and Physical Education comprise a single subject. The learning areas of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS), The Arts, Technologies, and Languages each comprise multiple subjects.
