How we support
A safe and positive learning community
We provide safe, inclusive education programs and teaching, supported by our Specialist Team, aimed at achieving academic, social, emotional, and behavioural goals for our young people. We are committed to breaking barriers, fostering growth, and empowering every autistic young person to embrace their future and find their strength.
We provide a safe and supportive learning environment where autistic young people are empowered to find their strengths and thrive. By utilising a strengths-based method, our School introduces new and creative teaching techniques, evidence-based strategies, and follows the Australian National Curriculum Prep - Year 10.

Be part of a supportive community
At The Sycamore School, through our personalised teaching, community engagement and pathways programs, our young people will find out who they really are.
Glennis, GrandmotherObserving Jackson’s “enormous” personal growth over the past two years, his grandmother bursts with delight. “Oh, he’s marvelous. He’s much happier. He’s confident.” Another big difference Jackson’s grandmother has noticed is that his caring nature shines more readily now, and he’s begun recognising emotions in others. “Recently someone was having a moment, and he just sat down quietly beside him. I thought that was really lovely, a really big growth moment for him.”
Liz, Mother“It is two different people,’’ Liz Marvels. ‘’We’re not managing meltdowns constantly. There’s no yelling, no screaming, no crying. If anything, I’ve got the opposite. She talks and talks and talks and sings and sings and sings. There are signs around the house saying, ‘I love school’. You’ve still got to deal with general stuff, but it’s nice that she’s able to relax, because she had at least four years where she couldn’t. So, we’re very, very, very thankful.
